Fast food in the diet of school-age children

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou konzumace fast food potravin u dětí školního věku. Cílem bylo analyzovat vliv těchto potravin na zdraví dětí a identifikovat faktory vedoucí k jejich oblibě mezi mladou populací. Teoretická část se věnuje výživovým potřebám dětí, historii, charakteristice fast food jídel a nemocemi, které mohou vzniknout při jejich časté konzumaci. Praktická část je založena na kvantitativním výzkumu formou dotazníkového šetření, který zjišťoval frekvenci a nejčastější důvody konzumace fast food produktů. Výsledky poukazují na vysokou míru oblíbenosti těchto potravin, přičemž často dochází k nedostatečnému povědomí o jejich zdravotních rizicích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of fast food consumption among school-aged children. The objective of the thesis was to analyze the impact of such foods on children's health and to identify the factors contributing to their popularity among the younger population. The theoretical part deals with the nutritional needs of children, as well as the history and characteristics of fast food meals, and the diseases that may result from their frequent consumption. The practical part is based on quantitative research using a questionnaire survey, which examined the frequency and most common reasons for fast food consumption. The results indicate a high level of popularity of these foods, often accompanied by insufficient awareness of their health risks.
