The Specifities of Senior Citizens Pharmacological Therapy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou farmakoterapie u seniorů. Ta je charakterizována vysokým výskytem polypragmazie, nežádoucích účinků, převahou léčby symptomatické nad kauzální, odlišnou farmakodynamikou a farmakokinetikou. Teoretická část si klade za cíl objasnit jednotlivá specifika geriatrické farmakoterapie, se kterými se u našich pacientů setkáváme. Práce rozebírá i klíčové problémy v oblasti compliance seniorů, vysvětluje související pojmy jako konkordance a adherence. Výzkum v empirická části zjišťuje, kolik léků a které lékové skupiny senioři nejčastěji užívají. Jaká je jejich spolupráce s praktickým lékařem v oblasti farmakoterapie. Nejčastější faktory, které ovlivňují complianci jsou dále testovány prostřednictvím hypotéz. Celá práce se zabývá i současnou demografickou situací, kde podíl osob starších 65ti let tvoří téměř 15 % obyvatelstva a rozebírá naši připravenost poskytovat zdravotní péči zohledňující specifika seniorského věku.

Abstract:

The dissertation works with problems of Senior Citizens´ pharmacological Theraphy. This one is characterized with an occurrence of high in an polypragmacy, objectionable effets, dominating a symphomatic and causal treatment, and a difference in pharmacydynamics and pharmacykinetic treatment, finally a personality of physician and of a patient. The goal of a theorectical part is clarified specifications of geriatric farmacotherapy. The dissertation deals with keys problems of compliance in old age and explains terms such as concondarce and adherence. The research finds which drugs are mostly taken by seniors, their cooperation with their phasician at the area of farmacotherapy. The most frequently influenced factors were provided and are tested by means of hypothesises. The dissertation deals with up-to-date demografic situation in which seniors older than 65 form nerly 15 % of all the inhabitants, and analyses how we are ready to give appropriate health care to seniors.
