Czech National Bank as a regulator of the capital markets

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Česká národní banka jako regulátor kapitálového trhu“ je orientována na systémovou analýzu dohledu a regulace nad finančním trhem v ČR a její funkčnost po sjednocení do jednotného dozorového orgánu. První část je věnována problematice regulace a dohledu obecně, je v ní uvedena teoretická klasifikace systémů regulace a dohledu a modely institucionálního uspořádání a dohledu finančního trhu. Dále jsou v ní uvedeny právní úpravy a normy, které souvisejí se stále vyvíjející se regulací na finančním trhu jako takovém. Další část je zaměřena na současný stav regulace a dohledu na finančním trhu v ČR s orientací na bankovní a kapitálový trh. V poslední části se zabýváme současným vývojem na evropských trzích a zamýšlíme se nad zpřísněním regulace a dohledu v návaznosti na celosvětovou probíhající krizi.

Abstract:

The baccalaureate thesis „Czech Central Bank as a regulator of capital markets“ is focused on a system analysis of the supervision and regulation of the Czech financial markets and their effectiveness after a unification of regulation and supervision functions into a single authority. A first part of the thesis reviews the regulation and supervision of financial markets in general, describes the theoretical classification of regulatory and supervision systems as well as the models of institutional framework of the regulation and supervision of financial markets. The thesis also summarizes the legislation related to the ever developing regulation of financial markets. The other part of the thesis concentrates on the current status of financial markets regulation and supervision in the Czech Republic, with a special focus on the banking and capital markets. The final part of the thesis analyses the current development of the European financial markets and elaborates on the potential tightening of the regulation and supervision of the markets due to the global financial crisis.
