This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of selected poems by Sylvia Plath and other confessional authors, namely Robert Lowell, Anne Sexton and John Berryman. Its goal is to find elements in the poetry of Sylvia Plath regarding writing about depression which set her apart from other confessional authors.
