Abstract:

This bachelor thesis called "Échos de l’Histoire dans le livre La Hache et le violon d’Alain Fleischer" deals with the role of real historical events in the literary work of Alain Fleischer. The theme of the Holocaust - in the Hebrew language Shoah, which means ruining or total destruction – is very common in the literature of the 20th and 21st century. The objective of this kind of literature is to preserve memories of these events for future generations. Fleischer, the french writer with jewish roots, describes in his book La Hache et le violon the history of fictional musician Béla. The background of his story is undeniably an image of totalitarian states like Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia. The primary objective of this thesis is to show the parallel between the events described by Fleischer and the events of real history. Also, we occupy with the role of music in the novel and in the real totalitarian regimes - it's interdiction, abuse and importance for the oppressed nation. Finally, we deal with the author's view and approach to Judaism as he describes it in his novel.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem "Échos de l’Histoire dans le livre La Hache et le violon d’Alain Fleischer" pojednává o roli reálných historických událostí v beletristickém díle Alaina Fleischera. Téma holokaustu – v hebrejském jazyce šoa, tedy zničení či totální destrukce - v literatuře je ve 20. a 21. století velmi časté. Cílem této literatury je uchovat vzpomínky na události pro budoucí generace. Fleischer, francouzský spisovatel s židovskými kořeny, ve své knize La Hache et le violon popisuje smyšlenou historii hudebníka Bély. Pozadí jeho příběhu je zcela nepopiratělně obrazem totalitních států, jako bylo nacistické Německo či stalinistické Rusko. Primárním cílem práce je ukázat paralelu událostí popisovaných Fleischerem a událostí reálné historie. Dále se věnujeme roli hudby v románu a v totalitních režimech – její zákaz, zneužití a význam pro utlačovaný národ. Na závěr se zabýváme autorovým pohledem a přístupem k židovství tak, jak jej v románu popisuje.
