Evaluation of the process of working with the climate at the first level of elementary school

Abstract:

V diplomové práci si kladu za cíl popsat možnosti práce s klimatem na prvním stupni základní školy a ověřit použití existující metodiky k evaluaci klimatu. Mezi dílčí cíle patří zájem identifikovat vnímání vlivu na klima z pohledu aktérů a pomoci škole odzrcadlit pohled na klima z vnějšku. Teoretická část práce se soustředí na popis základního konceptu, týkajícího se jak definování základních pojmů, které souvisí s klimatem škol i tříd, tak vlivu klimatu na celkové dění ve škole. Důležité zamyšlení se v diplomové práci týká možností zapojení sociálního pedagoga jak do práce s evaluačními nástroji, tak do role jakéhosi „klimatického manažera“. Součástí výzkumného šetření bylo seznámit tým školy i rodiče s dostupnými nástroji, předat jim podněty pro další rozvoj školy a ověřit si soulad mého vnímání tématu s existujícími odbornými prameny i historickými měřeními. Empirická část je zpracována na základě analýzy existujících dokumentů a dosavadních nástroj používaných školou k ovlivňování klimatu, zúčastněného pozorování, polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a vlastní práce s konkrétními standardizovanými evaluačními nástroji vytvořenými v rámci projektu Cesta ke kvalitě.

Abstract:

In the diploma thesis I aim to describe the possibilities of working with the climate at the first level of elementary school and to verify the use of the existing methodology for the evaluation of the climate. The sub-objectives include the interest to identify perceptions of climate impact from the point of view of actors and to help the school reflect the view of the climate from the outside.The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the description of the basic concept concerning the definition of basic concepts related to the climate of schools and classes as well as the influence of the climate on the overall school events. An important reflection in the diploma thesis concerns the possibility of involving a social pedagogue both in the work with the evaluation tools and in the role of a "climatic manager". A part of the research was to familiarize the school and the parents with the available tools, to give them suggestions for the further development of the school and to verify the consistency of my perception of the topic with existing scientific sources and historical measurements.The empirical part is based on an analysis of existing documents and existing tools used by the school to influence the climate, participating observations, semi-structured interviews, and work with the specific standardized evaluation tools developed within the Path to Quality project.
