Work in pornography and commercial erotica - case study of social phenomenon

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci „Práce v pornografii a komerční erotice – případová studie sociálního jevu“ se pokouším prozkoumat a popsat práci v pornografii a komerční erotice jako sociální jev, poukázat na rizika spojená s prací v pornografii a komerční erotice a její specifické rysy. Můj cíl je prozkoumat a popsat tuto novou oblast a otevřít ji dalšímu možnému výzkumu v rámci sociální pedagogiky. Na tuto problematiku se snažím nahlédnout prostřednictvím kvalitativních výzkumných metod, a využít všech výhod případové studie, kterou jsem si zvolil jako nejvhodnější výzkumnou strategii pro popis tohoto jevu. Nejprve se zabývám samotným popisem toho, čím se práce v pornografii a komerční erotice vyznačuje a definuji základní pojmy. Dále se snažím doplňovat tyto základní informace ze všech dostupných zdrojů tak, aby čtenář získal co nejkomplexnější představu o této problematice. Snažím se hojně využívat informací obsažených v rozhovorech přímo s aktéry, pracovníky v pornografii a komerční erotice, postihnout oblast sexuálního průmyslu v současném stavu. Na závěr se snažím nabídnout další možnosti výzkumu a roli sociální pedagogiky v této oblasti.

Abstract:

During the elaboration of my bachelor's thesis called „Work in pornography and comercial erotica – case study of social phenomenon“ I have tried to explore and describe jobs in pornography and commercial erotica as a social phenomenon, to refer about risks associated with working in pornography and comercial erotica and to deal with specific attributes of this branch as well. My goal is to explore the new subject field and to unfold it for any further possible social education related research. I have examined these issues trough qualitative research methods and I have utilized all the advantages of case study which I have chosen as the best possible research strategy to describe this social phenomenon. At first, I have described what the attributes and specifics of work in pornography and comercial erotica are and I have defined basic concepts as well. Then I have tried to support these theoretical basics with other information from real life using every source available in order to provide the reader with an insight into the complex issue of working in pornography and commercial erotica. I have drew from the experience described in interviews with pornography and comercial erotica workers so that I could authenticaly depict contemporary pornographic industry. In the conclusion I have suggested another posibilities for further research in this field and made an attempt to define the role of social education in this domain.
