The Black Death and its Influence on the English Society
Abstract:
Abstract:
This bachelor paper deals with the influence that 14th century plague - the "Black Death" had on medieval English society. Attention is especially given to lifestyle, hygiene customs and changes in socio-economic and cultural spheres. The Black Death is compared with the plague that surged in London in 1665 and it is supported by examples from Daniel Defoe`s Journal of the Plague Year.
