Abstract:
The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to present the background and conditions, in which the members of so called Generation X grew up. The term Generation X is used to portray people born between the years 1965 and 1978 that lived in an unfriendly society and led a self-destructive life. Cílem bakalářské práce je zachytit prostředí a podmínky, v nichž vyrůstali členové tzv. generace X, tzn. lidé narozeni mezi lety 1965-1978, kteří bojovali s nepřízní společnosti a žili sebedestruktivním životním stylem. Práce se dále zaměřuje na rozbor seattleské hudební scény a její stěžějní část je věnována rozpolcenému životu Kurta Cobaina, neoficiálního mluvčího generace X.
