Petr Nikl and action art of the Stubborn

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce prezentuje českou uměleckou skupinu s názvem Tvrdohlaví a jednoho z jejích čelních představitelů, jímž je Petr Nikl. V první části popisuje obecné informace reflektující společenskou a politickou situaci v době vzniku této skupiny, její jednotlivé členy, umělecké zaměření a snahu tvořit a představit své umění s novým, odlišným přístupem. Na prezentované umění a doprovodné akce k veřejným vystoupením výtvarné skupiny Tvrdohlavých je zde nahlíženo s důrazem na aspekt akčnosti a performativity, jenž jsou v průběhu její existence zastoupena nejvíce v podobě performancí a happeningů pořádaných k vernisážím konkrétních výstav. Druhá část práce představuje osobnost umělce Petra Nikla, jakožto výrazné a specifické postavy v českém umění a dokumentuje jeho uměleckou činnost se stejným náhledem na problematiku jako u skupiny Tvrdohlavých. Cílem práce je zdokumentování aspektu akčnosti a performativity v celé tvorbě skupiny Tvrdohlavých, individuální prezentaci Petra Nikla a jejich vzájemné porovnání. Dalším cílem, je posouzení propojení akčního umění uvedených autorů s kontextem nových médií.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis presents a czech art group called Stubborn and one of its leaders, which is Petr Nikl. The first section describes the general information reflecting the social and political situation at the time of the group existence, its individual members, the artistic focus and effort to create and introduce their art with a new, different approach. The presented arts and special events for the public performance art group Stubborn is seen here with an emphasis on the aspect of action and performativity, which are in the course of its existence the most represented in the form of performances and happenings organized by the vernisage specific exhibitions. The second part represents the personality of the artist Petr Nikl as a significant and specific figure in Czech art and documenting his artistic activity with the same view of the issue as a group of Stubborn. The aim is to document the action and performativity aspect of the entire work of group Stubborn, individual presentation of Petr Nikl and their comparison. Another objective is the assessment of performance art links listed authors with the context of new media.
