Abstract:

Tato práce řeší problematiku harmonizace pracovního a rodinného života. Aby bylo možné pochopit problém v kontextu, je potřeba se na to podívat z perspektivy rodiny, kariéry a pohlaví. Hlavním důvodem, proč bylo toto téma analyzováno je, že mnozí rodiče s malými dětmi čelí právě tomuto problému, jak úspěšně sladit rodinu a práci, aniž by selhali v jednom nebo druhém. Cílem této studie je zjistit, zda ženy mají skutečnou možnost sladit tyto dvě sféry dohromady, jaké mají vůbec možnosti a do jaké míry jsou ženy schopné s nimi pracovat. S cílem objasnit tuto oblast, jsem se rozhodla použít srovnávací analýzu údajů z International Social Survey „Family and gender roles" (ISSP, 2012). Výsledky této studie umožní lidem, kteří mají zájem právě o tuto oblast, získat určitou perspektivu na toto téma, a také poskytnou prokázané výsledky, které mohou být použity pro další studium podobného směru.

Abstract:

This thesis addresses the issue of harmonisation of work and family life. To be able to understand the issue in the context it is necessary to see it from the perspective of family, career and gender. The main reason why this topic was analysed in the first place is that many parents with young children face the problem of how to successfully reconcile family and work, without failing in one or another. The aim of this study is to determine whether women have a real choice to harmonise those two spheres together, what options they have and to what extent women are able to use those options and possibilities. In order to shed light on this area, I have chosen to use comparative analysis of the data from the International Social Survey “Family and gender roles (ISSP, 2012). The results of this study allow people who are interested in this sphere, to gain some sort of perspective on this issue and also give proven results that can be used for further study of a similar direction.
