V prvej kapitole sa stručne venujeme vývoju a všeobecným, základným vymedzeniam pojmu opravný prostriedok a zároveň priblížime príslušné opravné systémy. Rozoberieme dôkladne účel a význam opravných prostriedkov v občianskom procesnom práve. V druhej kapitole systematicky roztriedime opravné prostriedky podľa ich účinnosti.
