The thesis focuses on the German-mediated lexical borrowings of Latin origin in Slovak. The research observes the process of borrowing words from Latin into German language as well as the process of borrowing words from German into Slovak language while it is focused on German words and phrases which have Latin origin. Diplomová práca sa zameriava na nemecké prevzaté slová latinského pôvodu v slovenskom jazyku. Ťažiskom práce je proces preberania slov z latinského do nemeckého jazyka a následne z nemeckého do slovenského jazyka, pričom je pozornosť venovaná len nemeckým prevzatým slovám latinského pôvodu.
