V této práci bylo analyzováno celkem 14 komerčních produktů (doplňků stravy) obsahujících sušenou řasu Chlorella vulgaris a sušenou sinici Spirulina platensis pocházejících z Číny a Japonska, dále také 5 druhů živých/čerstvých řas divize Chlorophyta (Chlorella vulgaris, Parachlorella kessleri, Coccomyxa subellipsoidea, Scenedesmus quadricauda a Trebouxia erici).
