Abstract:

Jako téma bakalářské práce jsem si zvolil udržitelný design. Ve své rešerši jsem se zaměřil na dnešní nejzásadnější problémy. Jedním z nejčastějších příkladů je neefektivní využívání vody a její plýtvání. Nakonec jsem se rozhodl zaměřit na tento problém zejména v oblasti veřejných podniků. Na základě rešerše jsem navrhnul umyvadlo, které je schopné separovat čistou nevyužitou vodu pouze na základě fyzického kontaktu. Samotná idea spočívá ve funkci rukou jako bariéry, která je schopná přerušit proudící vodu v horizontálním směru. Za tímto účelem jsem použil bidetovou baterii. Umyvadlo se skládá ze tří oddělených prostorů. Kromě běžného prostoru na mytí rukou se zde nachází také cirkulační komora a rezervoár, který shromažďuje nevyužitou vodu. Ten se nachází pod dnem umyvadla. Celý systém funguje následovně: voda proudí v horizontálním směru z baterie do otvoru v cirkulační komoře, odkud směřuje do rezervoáru, kde se nepoužitá voda shromažďuje. Pokud je voda aktivně využívána, ruce slouží jako bariéra, po které "kontaminovaná" voda odteče do odpadu. V případě, že voda není použita při mytí, začne v systému cirkulovat dokola. Umyvadlo k tomu potřebuje kromě bidetové baterie ještě další dva komponenty. Jsou jimi vodní čerpadlo na transport vody z rezervoáru do baterie a dvoucestný ventil, který mění zdroj z rezervoáru (v případě že dojde voda) na vodu z řádu. Ventil se následně přepne zpět, jakmile se voda doplní. Umyvadlo je vyrobené z keramiky. Mezi přednosti tohoto materiálu patři vysoká tvrdost, dlouhá životnost, tepelná, chemická a tlaková odolnost. Z těchto důvodů jsem keramiku vyhodnotil jako nejlepší řešení. Navzdory faktu, že keramika je vysoce energeticky náročná, se dá s ohledem na její trvanlivost označit jako udržitelná. Také zde není možnost použití jiné technologie, která by mi umožnila navrhnout tento tvar s oddělenými prostory pro sběr vody. Celý proces je také méně ekologicky náročný díky lokální produkci v České republice.

Abstract:

As the topic of my bachelor thesis, I chose sustainable design. In the research part I focused on the main problems of today. One of the most common causes of problems is inefficient water usage and water wastage. Eventually, I focused on this problem specifically in the public usage field. Based on the research I designed a wash-basin that is able to separate clean unused water just by the physical contact. The idea itself works with hands as the barrier, that can stop the water flow in the horizontal way. For that purpose, I used the bidet tap. The wash-basin consists of three separate spaces. Except for the usual space for washing hands, there is a circulation room for unused water joined with the water reservoir placed underneath the bottom of the sink. The whole system works as follows: the water flows from a tap horizontally into the circulation room hole which is placed opposite, then it goes to the water reservoir where it's collected. If the water is actively used, hands work as a barrier and contaminated water runs out to the drain. In the case that water is not used while it's still running, the system uses the same unused water from the reservoir and circulates it. The wash-basin needs two other components apart from the bidet tap to work properly. These are water pump for transporting the water from the reservoir to the tap and the two-way valve which changes the source from the reservoir (when the water runs out) to the water drawn from the town's supply system. Then it changes back when the reservoir is filled again. The material used for the wash-basin is ceramic. As the material features advantages such as extreme hardness, high wear, heat, pressure and chemical resistance, I considered it the best possible option. Despite the fact that production of ceramics is highly energy demanding, with regard to its durability we can consider the material as sustainable. Also, there is no other technology that would allow me to make the shape I designed with separated spaces for water collection. Finally, the whole process is less ecologically demanding thanks to the local production in the Czech Republic.
