Graph Theory in Primary School

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o teorii grafů, která je interdisciplinárním vědním odvětvím diskrétní matematiky a nachází uplatnění v mnoha dalších oborech, včetně informatiky. Cílem bakalářské práce je podrobně studovat a popsat vybrané pojmy z teorie grafů, vysvětlit metody práce s nimi a ukázat jejich využití ve vybraných aplikacích na základních školách. Výstupem bakalářské práce jsou prezentace do výuky a pracovní listy, které by měli pomoci studentům lépe pochopit teorii grafů a aplikovat ji v praxi. Celkově tedy práce ukazuje, jak může být teorie grafů užitečná v pedagogické praxi a jak může pomoci studentům lépe porozumět matematickým konceptům.

Abstract:

This text discusses graph theory, an interdisciplinary branch of discrete mathematics that finds applications in many other fields, including computer science. This bachelor's thesis aims to thoroughly study and describe selected concepts from graph theory, explain methods of working with them, and demonstrate their use in selected applications in elementary schools. The output of the bachelor's thesis consists of presentations for teaching purposes and worksheets that should help students better understand graph theory and apply it in practice. Overall, the thesis demonstrates how graph theory can be helpful in educational practice and how it can help students better understand the mathematical concepst.
