Interpretation of schizophrenic art and the possiblities of working with this target group

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na oblast výtvarné tvorby pacientů se schizofrenií v konkrétní fázi nemoci – ve fázi akutní. Na základě teoretického základu, který se věnuje schizofrenii, psychologii umění a arteterapii, je realizován výzkum, jehož výsledkem je vymezení výtvarné tvorby této cílové skupiny. Výzkum přináší zjištění ohledně vhodných činností, které se jeví jako smysluplné a přínosné v rámci tvorby s hospitalizovanými pacienty. Během výzkumu jsou použity arteterapeutické postupy a techniky a výtvarná tvorba je chápána jakožto způsob neverbální komunikace mezi pacientem a terapeutem. Díla, získaná při výzkumu, jsou popsána a předložena analýze, jejímž závěrem je vyjmenování společných znaků, tendencí a aspektů výtvarné tvorby pacientů se schizofrenií.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is focused on the area of the visual art of patients with schizophrenia in the acute episode of the illness. Based on the theoretical information about schizophrenia, psychology of the art and about art therapy, there is described the research with the aim to define the visual art of the target group and find common characteristics of it. Also there is the aim to evaluate the appropriate and efficient ways of art working with the target group. During the research there are used some procedures and techniques of art therapy and the visual creating is understood as the way of non-verbal communication. So this is emphasized on the help for patients with schizophrenia to be able of communication and social being. The art pieces from the research are described and submitted to the analyse which draw the conclusion about common features, aspects and tendencies of this special kind of visual art.
