The concept of love in Plato's dialogue Faidros

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce ?Pojetí lásky v Platónovu dialogu Faidros? pojednává o problematice eróta. Popisuje jeho projevy a snaží se charakterizovat jeho podstatu. Z počátku se věnuje objasnění a vzniku pojmu erós, dále pak ukazuje Platónovo chápání lásky. Hlavní část práce se však zabývá rozebráním samotného dialogu Faidros a nastíněním tří zásadních řečí, které nám mají zprvu ukázat škodlivost eróta a následně jeho prospěšnost. Platón zde skrze rozhovor mezi Faidrem a Sókratem ukazuje jaký má erós vliv na duši a že touha nemusí vždy znamenat pouze erotický záměr, ale také touhu po něčem ?božském?.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis ?The conception of love in Plato's dialogue Phaedrus? is dealing with an intersection of Eros. This work describes his acts and deeds and try to characterize his essential identity. The beginning is devoted to describe and identify the origin of the term of Eros, furthermore he demonstrates the Plato's view of love. But the main part of his vision is dedicated to the actual dialogue of Phaedrus and outlining three major speeches, that serves us harmfulness of Eros from the very first time and subsequently even his efficiency. In the dialogue between Phaedrus and Socrates, Plato gives us the way of explaining how Eros affects the soul and that the desire doesn't need to lead only to some erotic images but also to something divine.
