The Reaction of the Population to the Explosion of the Ammunition Depot in Vlachovice-Vrbětice Municipality

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá mimořádnou událostí, konkrétně výbuchem muničních skladů v obci Vlachovice-Vrbětice a následnou reakcí obyvatelstva na ni. Popisuje základní pojmy týkající se této události, příslušnou legislativu o skladování výbušnin, historii výstavby muničního areálu ve Vrběticích, podobné výbuchy muničních skladů u nás i v zahraničí, a nakonec podrobně samotnou mimořádnou událost. Reakce obyvatelstva na tuto událost je pak zkoumána pomocí dotazníkového šetření, a to z hlediska míry zabezpečení muničního skladu, informovanosti obyvatelstva o události, průběhu následné evakuace, výše odškodnění a délky trvání likvidačních prací. Na základě získaných a vyhodnocených údajů jsou pak v daných oblastech navržena možná zlepšení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with an emergency event, specifically the explosion of ammunition depots in the village Vlachovice-Vrbětice, and the subsequent reaction of the population to it. It describes the basic terms related to this event, the relevant legislation on the storage of explosives, the history of construction of the ammunition complex in Vrbětice, similar explosions of ammunition depots in our country and abroad, and finally the event itself in detail. The population's response to this event is then examined using a questionnaire survey, in terms of the security level of the ammunition depot, the population's awareness of the event, the course of the subsequent evacuation, the amount of compensation and the duration of liquidation work. Based on the obtained and evaluated data, possible improvements are proposed in the given areas.
