Structure of government debt

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “The structure of government debt” is to examine the appropriateness of using different public and private sector debt indicators in assessing the country´s financial stability, with emphasis on net debt measurements. The first part of the thesis is focused on description of individual gross and net debt indicators. The second part contains their quantification within the European Union countries. In the last part, a correlation analysis analyzes the possible relationship of these debt indicators and interest rate spreads.

Abstract:

Predmetom tejto diplomovej práce „Struktura vládního zadlužení“ je skúmanie vhodnosti používania rôznych dlhových ukazovateľov verejného a súkromného sektora pri posudzovaní finančnej stability krajiny a to s dôrazom na čistý dlh. Prvá časť práce je zameraná na popis jednotlivých hrubých a čistých dlhových ukazovateľov. Druhá časť obsahuje ich kvantifikáciu v rámci krajín Európskej únie. V poslednej časti je za pomoci korelačnej analýzy skúmaný možný vzťah týchto ukazovateľov a diferenciálov úrokových sadzieb.
