Design of Self-service Business Intelligence solution for a company in the field of meteorological instruments

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou a návrhem Self Service Business Intelligence řešením pro firmu působící v oblasti meteorologických zařízení, konkrétně firmu ChanGroup s.r.o.. Cílem práce je vytvořit takové řešení, které by odpovídalo typu a požadavkům firmy. První část práce se věnuje analýze firmy, je zde uvedena základní charakteristika firmy jako takové, analýza vnitřního prostředí a analýza vnějšího prostředí. Následuje krátké představení BI a SSBI. Na tuto část navazuje nosná část této práce, a to tvorba samotného prototypního řešení SSBI. Ta je rozdělena na vypracování úvodní studie SSBI řešení, na kterou navazuje tvorba vlastní aplikace reprezentovaná dashboardem. Tato aplikace je určena pro vedení firmy pro podporu rozhodování a získání komplexnějšího pohledu na firmu a její stav.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis covers a topic of analysis and design of Self Service Business Intelligence solution for a company in the field of meteorological instruments, namely the company ChanGroup s.r.o.. Main goal of this theses is to create such a solution, that fits the type, characteristics and requirements of this company. First part of the theses involves analysis of the company. The analysis covers basic characteristic of the company, analysis of internal environment and analysis of external environment. Next comes short introduction of BI and SSBI. After this part follows the practical part of the thesis and that is creation of the prototype SSBI solution. This part consists of introductory study of the SSBI solution followed by creation of the application, which is represented by a dashboard. This application is intended for management of the company where they may use it for better decision making and to gain complex understanding of the business and the state it is in.
