Hydromorphological Monitoring and Evaluation of Selected Reaches in the Morava River basin in Floods Event Context

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřená na hydromorfologické hodnocení ekologického stavu vodních toků. Její součástí je stručná rešerše studií zabývajících se touto problematikou i praktická část, jejímž cílem je provést toto hodnocení ve vybraných úsecích vodního toku Jihlava. Ke splnění tohoto záměru byly vybrány 2 metodiky lišící se technikou provádění terénního průzkumu i výsledného hodnocení a to britská River Habitat Survey a americká Stream Visual Assessment Protocol. Práce se také věnuje otázce dalšího využití získaných dat, např. pro účely navrhování revitalizačních opatření či studia povodňových událostí.

Abstract:

This master‘s thesis is focused on hydromorphological assessment of the river‘s ecological status. It includes a brief research studies dealing with this issue and a practical part, which aids to carry out this evaluation in selected sections of the Jihlava river. To accomplish this goal were selected two methods, which have different techniques of the field survey and the resulting evaluation. These methods are British River Habitat Survey and US Stream Visual Assessment Protocol. The work also deals with the question of further use of the data, eg. for the designing revitalization measures or study of flood events.
