This bachelor thesis deals with receptive skills and techniques which are used in two chosen English books dedicated to A1 elementary adult learners based on CEFR . The paper is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to describe the theory of receptive skills (reading and listening) with the help of literature.
