Composite electroless nickel plating

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem a testováním chemicky naneseného kompozitního Ni-P povlaku s možnou aplikací na funkční plochy součástí. V první teoretické části práce byla řešena problematika bezproudého pokovování, výběr lázně, vytipování vhodného plniva, vhodného technologického postupu včetně předúprav povrchu a tepelného zpracování s následnou metodikou testování těchto povlaků. Podle předpokládaných vlastností a možné vhodné aplikace na povrchy byly zvoleny testy jako měření tloušťky vrstvy, měření mikrotvrdosti, měření koefifientu opotřebení a koeficientu tření, Impact test a Mercedes test. V experimentální části byly připraveny vzorky s různou koncentrací UDDG v komerční lázni firmy MacDermid. Tyto povlaky byly deponovány na substrát oceli C15 a poté byly tepelně zpracovány. Všechny vzorky prošly testy mikrotvrdosti niklového povlaku s plnivem, tribologickými testy Pin-On-Disc, na nichž byla sledována otěruvzdornost povlaků a jejich koeficient tření. Hodnocení tribologických stop probíhalo formou vyhodnocení stopy na světelném mikroskopu. Pro úplnost výsledků bylo provedeno také vyhodnocení tloušťky povlaku světelným mikroskopem a vyhodnocení tribologických stop a impact kráterů jak pod světelným mikroskopem, tak pod skenovacím elektronovým mikroskopem.

Abstract:

Submitted diploma thesis deals with the development and testing of composite electroless Ni-P coatings with possible application for the functional surfaces. In the first theoretical part the problems of the electroless plating, finding suitable filler, preparation of the bath, surfaces preparation and its heat treatment were solved. In the experimental part of this thesis, samples of coatings with different amount of the filler UDDG in the commercial bath MacDermid were deposited on a steel substrate C15. The samples were heat treated and then all samples were tested for microhardness. Samples were also tested using the Pin-On-Disc method where wear resistance and friction coefficient were measured on tribological tracks using computer, optical microscope and scanning electron micrsoscope. The coating thickness was measured under optical microscope as well. Finally, the Impact test and Mercedes test were evaluated. Evaluation of these methods was performed under optical and scanning microscope.
