Creating a codebook of types and versions of electronic messages for use in internal applications

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem číselníku typů EDI zpráv a jeho následnou implementací pro zadavatele AIMTEC Outsoursing s.r.o. V teoretiské části je vysvětleno, co je to EDI. Dále jsou v práci popsána data, která jsou vhodná o EDI zprávách uchovávat. Mezi tato data patří standard EDI dokumentu, jeho typ a verze a souborový formát. V praktické části je pak navržen databázový číselník, který v sobě má údaje o typech EDI zpráv uchovávat a umožnit předání těchto dat dalším systémům. V závěru jsou popsány zdroje dat, které naplní nebo upravují data v číselníku a jsou zde popsáni také konzumenti dat z tohoto číselníku.

Abstract:

The Bachelor's thesis deals with the design of an EDI message type codebook and its subsequent implementation for the client AIMTEC Outsoursing s.r.o. The theoretical part explains what EDI is, and the thesis also describes the data that are suitable for storing from EDI messages. These data include the standard EDI document type and version, as well as the file format. In the practical part, a database tables are designed to store information about the types of EDI messages and enable the transmission of these data to other systems. In the conclusion, the data sources that populate or modify the data in the codebook are described, and the consumers of data from this codebook are also discussed.
