Chod bagpipes in the Czech folklore

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Chodské dudy v plzeňském folkloru“ je shrnutím vzniku, výroby a uplatnění tohoto lidového nástroje, užívaného převážně v západní a jihozápadní části naší republiky. Na tento originální nástroj dříve hrávali v každé vesnici, v současnosti se dají jeho výrobci spočítat na prstech jedné ruky a hráčů na dudy je pouze několik desítek. První a druhá kapitola nastiňují historii nástroje a regionu. Další dva oddíly jsou věnovány historii dudácké muziky a výrobcům chodských dud, pátá část představuje nejvýznamnější dudáky regionu. V posledních kapitolách přibližuji způsob hry na dudy a možnosti uplatnění hráčů ve folklorních souborech, prostřednictvím kterých jsou písně a tradice udržovány v paměti lidí a předávány dalším generacím. Závěr patří zhodnocení významu dud a obrazová příloha.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis "Chod bagpipes in the Czech folklore" is a summary of the creation, the production and application of folk instruments, used predominantly in the Western and southwestern parts of the Czech Republic. On this original tool previously played in every village, currently its producers can be counted on the fingers of one hand and players on the bagpipes is only a few dozen. The first and the second chapter outline the history of the instrument and the region. The next two sections are devoted to the history of the bagpipe music and producers of bagpipes, the fifth part represents the most important Pipers in the region. In the last chapters I how to play the bagpipes and the scope for players in the folklore, by means of which files are songs and traditions maintained in memory of people and passed on to future generations. Conclusion include the appreciation of the importance of the bagpipes and the image attachment.
