Cieľom diplomovej práce je návrh a vývoj aplikácie, ktorá slúži na detekciu sieťovej prevádzky a anomálií pomocou sieťových RIPE sond. V teoretickej časti práca prezentuje projekt RIPE Atlas a analyzuje súčasný stav jeho využitia.
