Life quality of women suffering from incontinency

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zjistit, v jakém rozsahu zasahuje močová inkontinence do kvality života žen a jak ženy, trpící močovou inkontinencí hodnotí kvalitu svého života v těchto oblastech: denní aktivity, fyzické aktivity, vlastní osobnost, citové důsledky a sexualita. Metodika: Výzkum probíhal na základě anonymního dotazníkového šetření. Byl použit standardizovaný dotazník CONTILIFE. Skládá se z 28 otázek hodnotících stav v posledních 4 týdnech. Hodnotí se vliv na běžné denní aktivity a aktivity spojené s námahou, emoční důsledky, vliv na pohlavní život, celkový pocit spokojenosti a sebehodnocení. Dotazník byl doplněn otázkami vytvořenými autorkou práce. Průzkumný soubor tvořilo 72 žen, které trpí močovou inkontinencí a v měsíci lednu, únoru a březnu 2012 navštívily urologickou ambulanci ve Frýdku-Místku a v Orlové. Výsledky: Z průzkumného šetření bylo zjištěno, že všechny tázané ženy trpící inkontinencí močovou udávají snížení kvality života ve všech výše zmiňovaných oblastech. Závěr: Jak již vyplývá z výsledků šetření, ženy, které trpí močovou inkontinencí udávají nižší kvalitu svého života. Proto by měl být kladen důraz na větší informovanost veřejnosti, důkladnou edukaci a vhodný životní styl inkontinentních žen, aby toto onemocnění výrazně negativně neovlivnilo kvalitu jejich života. Abstract:

The aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out the scale in which the urinary incontinence intervene in the quality of women?s life and how women suffering from the urinary incontinence assess the quality of their life in these spheres: daily activities, physical activities, their personality, emocional consequences and sexuality. The methodology: The research proceeded on the basis of anonymous questionnaire survey.The standardized questionnaire CONTILIFE was used. That consist of twenty-eight questions assessing the state in last four weeks. The influence on usual daily activities and activities connected with exertion, emotional consequences, influence on sexual life, general sense of satisfaction and self-assessment is judged. The questionnaire was completed with questions created by the author of this work. The exploratory set was constituted byseventy-two women who suffer from the urinary incontinence and visited the urological outpatients? in Frýdek-Místek and Orlová in January, February and March. The results: It was found out from the exploratory investigation that all asked women suffering from the urinary incontinence state declining in the quality of life in all above mentioned spheres. The conclusion: As it ensues from the results of the investigation, women who suffer from the urinary incontinence state lower quality of their life. That?s why it should be put stress on raising public awareness, proper education and appropriate lifestyle of incontinent women so that this illness would not markedly influence the quality of their life.
