The complex physiotherapeutic treatment applied to patients with primary lymphedema of lower limbs

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá primárním lymfedémem dolních končetin z hlediska možností fyzioterapeutické intervence s následnou redukcí lymfatického otoku. Součástí je vytvoření edukačního materiálu pro pacienty s tímto onemocněním. Teoretická část práce se zabývá obecnou problematikou otoků se zaměřením na primární lymfedém dolních končetin, fyziologii, patofyziologii, diagnostiku a terapii, na kterou navazuje praktická část. Terapie tohoto onemocnění spočívá v první řadě v manuálních lymfatických drenážích, kompresní terapii a dále v prevenci a léčbě přidružených onemocnění. Praktická část se věnuje pacientce, která absolvuje léčbu mízního otoku. Výsledkem je vytvoření kazuistiky a vyhodnocení úspěšnosti léčby.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the primary lymphedema of lower limbs in the terms of possibilities of physiotherapeutic intervention and with the following reduction of lymphatic oedema. The educational material is a part of this thesis for patients with the mentioned disease. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with general problems of oedema focused on the primary lymphedema of lower limbs, physiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and therapy. The therapy consists of manual lymphatic drainage and compression therapy in the first place, and in the prevention and the treatment of associated disease. The practical part deals with the patient, who undergoes the treatment of lymphedema. The outcome is creating a case study and evaluating the success of the treatment.
