Abstract:

Predmetom bakalárskej práce "Semantics of covaluation expressions: truth value judgment task" sú dva nórske a dva slovenské preklady anglického slova 'different'. Napriek tomu, že sa zdajú byť absolútne synonymické, ich používanie sa líši, a nie je vždy možné tieto výrazy zamieňať. Cieľom tejto práce je preto pomocou teoretickej a praktickej časti klasifikovať tieto slová (iný, rôzny, annen, forskjellig) a zhrnúť tak pravidlá, ktoré sa viažu k ich používaniu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis "Semantics of covaluation expressions: truth value judgment task" is focusing on two Norwegian and two Slovak translation possibilities of the English word 'different'. Even though they might seem to be completely synonymical, their distribution differs, they cannot always be used interchangeably. The goal of this thesis is, therefore, to classify these words (iný, rôzny, annen, forskjellig) through a theoretical and a practical part, and to then summarise the rules, related to their distribution.
