Vzťah amerického Kongresu a prezidenta v oblasti zahraničnej politiky a vojenského angažmá

The relationship between U.S. Congress and President in area of Foreign Policy - Military engagement
Abstract:
The aim of this work is to analyze the relationship between American Congress and the President in the area of foreign policy and military engagement. The work proves that the President has been a dominant actor and Congress hasn´t been able to strengthen its powers even after passing War Powers Resolution in 1973. The particular cases of sending American troops abroad just confirm this statement.
Abstract:
Cieľom práce je analyzovanie vzťahu amerického Kongresu a prezidenta v oblasti zahraničnej politiky a vojenského angažmá. Práca má dokázať, že prezident je v tomto vzťahu dominantným aktérom a že Kongres nedokázal posilniť svoje právomoci ani po prijatí Rezolúcie o vojenských právomociach v 1973. Jednotlivé príklady vysielania amerických ozbrojených síl do zahraničia toto tvrdenie potvrdzujú.
