Burgher elites of Horažďovice in early modern period

Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje vliv měšťanských elit v raném moderním období v městečku Horažďovice. Studie je věnována konkrétním čtyřem rodinám - Budeciům, Gregorům, Heritesům a Malkovským. Práce je zaměřena na definici pojmu elita a dalších termínů, které jsou s tématem spojeny (patriciát, honorace a další). Práce se dále zabývá historií města Horažďovice se zaměřením na právní znaky města, na městskou správu v Horažďovicích a na cechy, jejichž nedílnou součástí byly elity. Práce je nejprve věnována měšťanům v českých zemích se zaměřením na jejich znamení, později na konkrétní ekonomické a politické elity (na příkladu zmíněných rodin), na jejich vliv na chod města a na vzájemné vztahy. Práce je věnována intelektuálním elitám, například kněžím, spisovatelům. Práce je věnována srovnání měšťanských elit v Horažďovicích s městem Duchcov.

Abstract:

Diploma work is to describe the influence of burgher elites in early modern period in the liege town of Horažďovice. The study is directly dedicated to four families - Budecy, Gregory, Heritesy and Malkovsky Thesis is focused on the definition of the term elite and of the other terms which are connected (patriciate, nobs and others). The work is engaged in the history of the town Horažďovice with the concentration on legal signs of the town, on town administration in Horažďovice and on guilds, whose inseparable parts the elites were. Thesis is firstly dedicated generally to burghers in Czech lands with the focus on signs, later to particular economical and political elites (on an example of mentioned families), to their influence on the course of the town and to mutual relationships. Thesis is dedicated to intellectual elites, for example priests, writers.Work is dedicated to a comparison burgher elites in Horažďovice with liege town Duchcov.
