Mezi endokrinní disruptory se řadí také látky schopné narušovat funkci přirozených hormonů působících skrze androgenní nebo glukokortikoidní receptor, které jsou zodpovědné za reprodukci, vývoj a homeostázu organismů. Endocrine disruptive chemicals can alter normal function of endogenous hormones acting through androgen and glucocorticoid receptor and thereby affect reproduction, developement and homeostasis of organisms.
