Tato diplomová práce pojednává o užití quiltu v afroamerické literatuře psané ženami. V úvodní kapitole bude čtenář seznámen s kulturou quiltu a jak se odráží v americké literatuře. Praktická část je pak rozdělena do dvou samostatných kapitol.
