The art-historical development of the cemetery church of the Virgin Mary in Klášterec nad Ohří

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá objektem hřbitovního kostela Panny Marie Utěšitelky v Klášterci nad Ohří, jeho historickým, ale i architektonickým vývojem. V první části se zaměřuji na historické události, které vedly k výstavbě kostela, tzn. stručný popis dějin města Klášterce nad Ohří a šlechtickým rodům Fictumů a Thunů. V dalších částech je představena vlastní stavba kostela. Poslední kapitola detailně popisuje výjevy, které jsou vyobrazeny v interiéru.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the historical and architectural development of the funeral church of the Virgin Mary in Klášterec nad Ohří, with its historical as well as architectural development. The first part focuses on the historical events that led to the construction of the church, including a brief description of the town Klášterec nad Ohří and the noble families Fictum and Thun. In the other parts the work deals with the church building itself, and the last chapter describes in detail the scenes, which are depicted in the interior.
