Freemasonry literature stored in the collection of the Department of Manuscripts and Old Prints at the Moravian Library. The history of the collection since its inception

Abstract:

Práce s názvem „Historie knižní sbírky svobodozednářské literatury ve fondu Oddělení rukopisů a starých tisků v Moravské zemské knihovně“ si klade za cíl jednotlivé svobodozednářské tisky přiřadit ke konkrétnímu majiteli na základě provenienčních příznaků a následně mapovat přesuny jednotlivých exemplářů mezi vlastníky až do finálního uložení na půdě instituce. Nedílnou součástí práce je katalog svobodozednářské literatury aktuálně uložené ve fondu rukopisů a starých tisků v MZK. Katalog je kromě bibliografických údajů doplněn o knižní signatury, provenienční příznaky, popisy vazeb a o přítomnost jednotlivých exemplářů v konkrétních časových úsecích.

Abstract:

The thesis entitled History of the book collection of Freemasonry literature in the collection of the Department of Manuscripts and Old Prints at the Moravian Library aims to assign individual freemasonry prints to a specific owner on the basis of provenance attributes and subsequently to map the transfers of individual specimens between owners until their final deposit at the institution. An integral part of the thesis is a catalogue of freemasonry literature currently stored in the manuscript and old prints collection at the Moravian library. In addition to bibliographic data, the catalogue is supplemented with book signatures, provenance signs, descriptions of bindings and the appearance of individual specimens in specific time periods.
