Finanční gramotnost mezi malými a středními podniky

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zjistit míru finanční gramotnosti manažerů malých a středních podniků působících ve Slovinsku. Závěrečné výsledky a analýza jsou založeny na přehledu odborné literatury, hodnocení osvědčených postupů a sestaveném průzkumu, s nímž byla testována úroveň finanční gramotnosti. Průzkum se skládá ze tří částí, z nichž první obsahuje obecné informace o respondentovi, druhý měří základní chápání finančních konceptů, zatímco poslední testuje pokročilé koncepty finanční gramotnosti. Práce se zaměřuje na určení, do jaké míry mohou manažeři chápat účetní závěrky a odpovídající ukazatele. Průzkumu se zúčastnilo celkem 95 manažerů z různých průmyslových odvětví. Po pečlivé a podrobné analýze zpětných vazeb shromážděných v pravý čas výsledky průzkumu ukazují, že manažeři jsou gramotní v porozumění základním pojmům, nicméně značně bojují s pokročilými tématy, což je činí nadměrně finančně negramotnými.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to determine the level of financial literacy among managers of family business SMEs operating in Slovenia. The final results and analysis are based on academic literature review, review of best practices and an assembled survey with which the level of financial literacy was tested. The survey comprises of three parts, with the first one collecting general information about the respondent, the second measuring basic understanding of financial concepts, while the last one tests advanced concepts of financial literacy. The thesis focuses on determining to what extent can managers comprehend financial statements and corresponding ratios. The total of 95 managers, from various industrial sectors, took part in the survey. After a careful and detailed analysis of the feedbacks collected in due course, the results of the survey show that managers are literate in understanding basic concepts, however, they considerably struggle with advanced topics, thus making them overally financially illiterate.
