The analysis of the usage of the potential of Masaryk‘s barracks for local socio-economic development

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou brownfieldů – zejména vojenských. Hlavním cílem práce je identifikovat možnosti využití Masarykových kasáren v Pardubicích. Teoretická část obsahuje úvod do problematiky, vymezení základních pojmů, konceptů, problémů a způsobů financování. Také se zaměřuje na specifika vojenských brownfieldů a uvádí příklady úspěšné revitalizace z České republiky i ze zahraničí. V praktické části jsou identifikovány možnosti využití Masarykových kasáren, které jsou dále analyzovány. Tato část obsahuje vlastní empirické šetření, a to reprezentativní dotazníkové šetření u obyvatel Pardubic a řízené rozhovory s klíčovými odbornými zástupci města.

Abstract:

This bachelor theses deals with the problem of brownfields – especially military brownfields. The main goal is to identify the possibilities of usage of Masaryk‘s barracks in Pardubice. The theoretical part contains the introduction to the issue, defines basic terms, concepts, problems and the possibilities of financing. It is also focused on the specification of military brownfields and gives some examples of successful revitalization from the Czech Republic and from abroad. The possibilities of usage are identified in the practical part. The possibilities are also analysed. This part contains an empirical research – data gained from questionnaire filled by the representative sample of residents of Pardubice and interviews with key experts in the city.
