Analysis of Pro-life movement s memos using interpretive repertoires

Abstract:

ANOTACE Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu internetových oběžníků Hnutí Pro život ČR pomocí metody interpretačních repertoárů. Základním cílem Hnutí je boj proti potratům, abortivní antikoncepci, euthanasii a předporodní eugenice. Hlavními zájmy Hnutí Pro život ČR jsou pak podpora tradiční rodiny založené na svazku ženy a muže v mezích křesťanského desatera a podpora života a rození dětí, navzdory moderním trendům. Analýza je teoreticky založena na práci Michela Foucaulta a Pierra Bourdieua a jejich konceptech diskurs, moc, disciplína, somatizace nadvlády, symbolické násilí. Dále využívá feministických statí zabývajících se zobrazením ženy a jejím místem ve společnosti. Metodologicky je práce vedena kvalitativní optikou a je postavena na analýze interpretačních repertoárů internetových oběžníků, které slouží jako informační kanál v protipotratové angažovanosti. Hlavním cílem práce je identifikovat opakující se metafory či figury řeči, které by naznačovaly přítomnost interpretačních repertoárů a jejich vysvětlení pomocí teoretických kontextů, které hlouběji osvětlí ustavení Hnutí Pro život ČR. Abstract:

ABSTRACT This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of the Pro-life movement CZ internet circulars, using the method of interpretative reperotires. The basic aim of the movement is the struggle against abortion, abortive contraception, euthanasia and prenatal eugenics. The main interests of the Pro-life movement CZ are then the support of the traditional family based on the bond of marriage within the confines of the Christian Ten Commandments and the support of life and having children in spite of the modern anti-procreative trend. The analysis is theoretically based on the work of Michel Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu, and their concepts of discourse, power, discipline, somatization of domination, symbolic violence and also on the other gender theses focused on the presentation of women and their place in society according to her body. This work is methodologically guided by qualitative optics and is based on the analysis of interpretative repertoires of the internet circulars, which are used as an informational channel of the anti-abortion engagement. The main goal of this text is to identify any recurring metaphors or figures of speech that would indicate the presence of interpretative repertoires and then to explain them using theoretical contexts that furher illuminate the rhetoric of the Pro-life movement CZ.
