Shared reading from the perspective of a preschool child

Abstract:

Diplomová práce má výzkumný charakter. Cílem této práce je seznámit čtenáře s problematikou čtenářské pregramotnosti, která je v předškolním věku nesmírně důležitou oblastí. Práce uvádí vymezení terminologie společného čtení, které je zvlášť vhodnou metodou pro podporu porozumění čtenému textu, představí interakci dospělého a dítěte a jejich pohled na metodu společného čtení, a to jak z pohledu dospělého, tak z pohledu dítěte. Dále definuje atributy, které jsou důležitou součástí společného čtení a které dospělí využívají k zefektivnění společného čtení. Práce seznamuje čtenáře s teoretickými východisky porozumění dítěte předškolního věku a vhodné podpory porozumění čtenému textu u dětí v mateřské škole, a do jisté míry poukazuje na žádoucí využívání čtenářských strategií. Empirická část je věnována kvalitativnímu výzkumu, do kterého byli zapojeni žáci 8. třídy a děti předškolního věku. Výzkumnou metodou bylo polostrukturované pozorování a rozhovor. Ve výzkumném šetření bylo pozorováno společné čtení ve dvojicích dítěte a žáka. Konkrétněji se výzkum zaměřil na pozorování atributů a jevů společného čtení, a také na závěrečné rozhovory s dítětem předškolního věku, pomocí kterých byl zjišťováno, jak dítě na společné čtení pohlíží. Výsledky šetření odhalily, jaké atributy se objevují u společného čtení dítěte a žáka, o jaké atributy společného čtení jeví dětí předškolního věku zájem a jaký je pohled předškolního dítěte na společné čtení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis has a research character. The aim of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with the issue of pre-reading literacy, which is an extremely important area in preschool age. The thesis presents the definition of the terminology of reading together, which is a particularly suitable method for reading comprehension, presents the interaction of an adult and a child and their view of the method of reading together, both from the perspective of an adult and from the point of view of a child. It also defines attributes that are an important part of reading together and that adults use to make reading together more effective. The thesis acquaints the reader with the theoretical basis of the understanding of a preschool child and the appropriate support of reading comprehension in kindergarten children, and to a certain extent points out the desirable use of reading strategies. The empirical part is devoted to qualitative research, in which pupils were involved 8th grade primary schools and preschool children. The research method was semi-structured observation and interview. In the research survey, joint reading in pairs was observed child and pupil. More specifically, the research focused on the observation of the attributes and phenomena of reading together, And also the final interviews with a preschool child, which were used to find out how the child views reading together. The results of the investigation revealed what attributes are emerging. In the case of shared reading of a child and a pupil, what attributes of joint reading are of interest to preschool children and what is the view of a preschool child on reading together.
