The main aim of this work is to analyse and interpret two short stories from the Austrian writer Arno Geiger. The topic which is the same for both of them is escaping to a fantasy world. Práce se zabývá rozborem dvou povídek Anna nicht vergessen a Abschied von Berlin od rakouského spisovatele Arno Geigera a jejich následnou interpretací. Společným tématem obou povídek je útěk d fantazie. To znamená, že všechny tři hlavní postavy utíkají před problémy všedního dne nebo před nátlakem společnosti na splnění jejich společenské role.
