Factors affecting the efficiency of milking robots

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat automatizovaný dojící systém (AMS) využívaný k dojení dojnic, uvést základní historická fakta, které ovlivnila vznik a vývoj dojících robotů, popsat proces strojního dojení, jeho technickou podstatu, působení dojícího stroje na dojnici a proces uvolňování mléka. Dále je v teoretické části představen přehled automatizovaných dojících systémů, jsou uvedeni největší výrobci dodávající AMS do České republiky, je uvedeno využití automatizačních prvků využívaných v dojírnách a robotizované kruhové dojírny. Do této diplomové práce byla získávána technická data z dvou vybraných farem v Pardubickém kraji dojících dojnice pomocí AMS. Po vyhodnocení technických dat získaných z dojících robotů jsou představeny nejčastější faktory ovlivňující výkonnost dojících robotů. Některá získaná technická data byla porovnána s rokem 2021 a došlo k vyhodnocení rozdílu. Z ekonomického hlediska je uvedena pořizovací cena dojících robotů používaných na vybraných farmách, ze kterých byla získávána technická data a byla vypočítána průměrná spotřeba a náklady na elektrickou energii a vodu na obou farmách. Spotřeba elektrické energie a vody byla porovnána s rokem 2021, kdy na stejných farmách probíhal sběr dat.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to describe an automated milking system (AMS) utilised for milk-ing cows, provide fundamental historical facts influencing the emergence and development of milking robots, describe the process of mechanical milking, its technical principles, the impact of the milking machine on the cow, and the milk release process. Furthermore, the theoretical part presents an overview of automated milking systems and lists the major manufacturers supplying AMS to the Czech Republic. It also discusses the utilisation of automation elements in milking parlours, and robotic rotary milking parlours. Technical data for this thesis were collected from two selected farms in the Pardubice region which employ the AMS method for milking. After evaluating the technical data obtained from their milk-ing robots, the thesis presents the most common factors influencing the performance of milking robots. Some of the acquired technical data were compared with the data from 2021, and the differences were assessed. From an economic perspective, the purchase cost of milking robots used on the two selected farms is provided. Additionally, the average consumption of electricity and water on both farms was calculated. The electricity and water consumption was compared with the data from 2021, when data collection took place on the same farms.
