Biomechanics of chewing load transmission of a bicortical endosteal implant where tere is monocortical and bicortical anchorage

Abstract:

The aim of this work was to study the influence of load distribution in the bone and in the implant towards the frontal part of the mandible when a monocortical and bicortical endosteal one-stage implant is applied using the method of finite elements analysis/FEA/ and during three-dimensional load under the simulated model conditions.Depending of the implant location in the bone, it has been found that the extent of stress in the bone and in the implant are significantly lower in the case in implant location below the surface of the bone in the case of monocortical and bicortical fixation.The results confirmed the decrease in the level of stress in the case of bicortical fixation and of the slide depending on the length of the intraosseous section of the implant and bone density.

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto práce bolo sledovanie vplyvu distribúcie napätia v kosti a implantáte vo frontálnej časti mandibuly pri monokortikálnom a bikortikálnom zavedení enoseálneho jednofázového implantátu pomocou metódy koncových prvkov (MKP )a pri trojdimenziálnom zaťažení v simultánných modelových podmienkach. V závislosti od situovania implantátu voči povrchu kosti bolo zistené, že rozsah napätia v kosti a implantáte je signifikantne nižší v prípade uloženia implantátu pod úrovňou povrchu kosti v prípade monokortikálneho aj bikortikálneho fixovania.Výsledky potvrdili pokles napätia pri bikortikálnej fixácii a v závislosti od intraoseálnej dĺžky implantátu a denzity kosti.
