Implementation of Project Management Processes in the Automotive Industry

Abstract:

Cílem práce je představit projektové řízení implementované do konkrétní výrobní společnosti. Pro naplnění cíle bude využito rešerše odborných zdrojů týkajících se zvolené problematiky, a to nejpoužívanější standardy projektového řízení a jejich jednotlivé fáze. Jednotlivé fáze projektového řízení v dané společnosti analyzovat a představit případné návrhy na zlepšení. Kromě definice několika vybraných projektových nástrojů a technik, obsahuje literární rešerše také obecné definice projektového managementu vztažené k projektovým standardům a další principy projektového řízení používaného v automotive. Téma práce bylo zvoleno z osobní zkušenosti autora práce, který při své praxi pozoroval možný prostor pro zlepšení řízení projektů na základě znalostí získaných v průběhu bakalářského studia, tak i při vlastní motivaci nalézt jiné inovativní metody pro stále zvyšující se nároky na systematické vedení projektu. Z důvodu velkého rozsahu všech fází projektu bude poptávková část analyzována pouze okrajově. Hlavní pozornost je věnována projektové fázi a dílčím návrhům na její zlepšení.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to present project management implemented in a specific manufacturing company. In order to fulfill the objective, the research of professional sources related to the chosen issue will be used, namely the most used standards of project management and their individual phases. The individual phases of project management in the given company will be analyzed and possible suggestions for improvement will be presented. In addition to the definition of several selected project tools and techniques, the literature search also includes general definitions of project management related to project standards and other principles of project management used in the automotive industry. The topic of the thesis was chosen from the personal experience of the author, who observed in his practice the possible room for improvement of project management based on the knowledge gained during his undergraduate studies, as well as his own motivation to find other innovative methods for the ever increasing demands of systematic project management. Due to the large scope of all phases of the project, the demand part will be analysed only marginally. The main focus is on the project phase and partial suggestions for its improvement.
