In the first two parts I have described the situation in the Czechoslovakia during 1933 – 1938. Furthermore I focus myself on the writer Willi Bredel and his book Die Prüfung. I write about the writer's life which can help to find autobiography elements in the book. The next part describes the way and conditions in which the book was written. V prvních dvou kapitolách své práce jsem nastínila situaci v Československu během let 1933-1938. Dále se zaměřuji na jednoho autora té doby, Williho Bredela, a jeho knihu Die Prüfung. Zmiňuji spisovatelův život, aby čtenář mohl najít v knize autobiografické prvky. V další kapitole popisuji způsob a okolnosti, za jakých byla kniha napsána.
