Application of 3D printing for production of prototype car parts

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku aplikace 3D tisku v oblasti vývoje a výroby prototypových dílů automobilů. V rámci experimentů jsou provedeny statické zkoušky pevnosti v tahu normovaných zkušebních vzorků vytištěných na dvou různých FDM 3D tiskárnách z vybraných materiálů filamentů. Experimenty byly realizovány na dvou různých univerzálních zkušebních zařízeních s mechanickým a video průtahoměrem s cílem získat hodnoty skutečných napětí v závislosti na poměrném prodloužení pracovní oblasti zkušebních vzorků. Výsledkem práce jsou v programu SolidWorks navrhnuté a 3D tiskem vyhotovené části zádržného bezpečnostního systému automobilu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the application of 3D printing in the field of development and production of prototype car parts. Within the experiments are performed static tests of tensile strength of standardized test specimens printed on two different FDM 3D printers from selected filament materials. The experiments were performed on two different universal testing machines with a mechanical and video extensometer in order to obtain the values of actual stresses depending on the relative elongation of the working areas of the test specimens. The result of the work are 3D printed parts of the car safety restraint system designed in the SolidWorks software.
