Analysis of economic development of the Hotel in the 2005 - 2009 period and proposal of systematic measures for maintenance of economic effectiveness for the future.

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zadáním „Analýza hospodářského vývoje hotelu v létech 2005 – 2009 a návrh systémových opatření, k udržení ekonomické efektivnosti pro další období,“ obsahuje dvě základní části. Teoretická část, do které jsou vybrána a zpracována teoretická východiska práce v obecné podobě, s důrazem na jejich použitelnost ke splnění cílů diplomové práce a aplikační část, která prakticky zpracovává konkrétní data a jejichž výstupem je návrh systémových opatření ke zmírnění dopadů krizového období v hotelu. Teoretická část rovněž obsahuje strategickou a finanční analýzu, jejich obecné charakteristiky, základní metody práce s analýzami a bonitní a bankrotní modely. Aplikační část naplňuje teoretické základy relevantními hodnotami, získanými vlastní výzkumnou činností, specifikací vnějšího a vnitřního prostředí firmy, analýzou cestovního ruchu a indikací krizových bodů, vyplývajících z analýz. Cíl diplomové práce spočívá v návrhu systémových opatření ke zmírnění dopadů krize a ve vytvoření platformy, pro rychlé nastartování ekonomického vzestupu hotelu. Ekonomická doporučení k realizaci investiční činnosti, která práci uzavírají, jsou dobrým základem ke splnění těchto vizí.

Abstract:

The thesis presented with the submission of “An analysis of the development of the hotel in the years of 2005 – 2009 and the proposal of system measures to maintaining the economic effectiveness for the coming periods” consists of two basic parts. The theoretical part, into which the theoretical starting points of the work in the general scope were selected, with an emphasis on their applicability regarding the goals of the thesis, and the application part processing the specific data in a practical way, leading to the output in the form of a proposal of system measures to mitigate the impact of the crisis period in the hotel. The theoretical part also includes strategic and financial analyses, their general characteristics, basic methods of work with analyses, and financial standing and insolvency models. The application part fills the theoretical foundations with relevant data collected through personal research, specifications of the external and internal environment of the company, an analysis of tourism and indications of critical points stemming from the analysis. The goal of the thesis is to propose some system measures to mitigate the impact of the crisis and to develop a platform for starting-off a quick economic improvement of the hotel. The economic suggestions to carry out investment activities concluding the thesis form a good foundation to carry out these visions.
