Abstract:

Disertační práce se zabývá recepcí a uváděním Janáčkovy hudby v letech 1873–1939. První studie se zabývá způsoby, jakými psal Vladimír Helfert, jeden z nejvýznamnějších janáčkovských kritiků, o Janáčkovi a jeho hudbě. Druhá studie popisuje proměny recepce Janáčkovy Sinfonietty během skladatelova života a analyzuje faktory (diskurzivní i nediskurzivní, duchovní i hmotné), které tuto recepci utvářely. Třetí studie se věnuje recepci a provozování Janáčkových raných suitových skladeb, Suity a Idylly, s hlavním zřetelem na jejich programní charakter. Čtvrtá studie prezentuje výsledky analýzy Zdeňka Nejedlého koncepce velkého českého skladatele, a pomáhá tak pochopit specifický charakter Nejedlého postojů k Janáčkovi i způsoby, jakými tento významný kritik a muzikolog Janáčka konceptualizoval.

Abstract:

The dissertation consists of four case studies focused on selected problems of Janáček reception. The first study deals with development of Vladimír Helfert’s writing about Leoš Janáček from the period 1911–1939 and presents the results of a discourse analysis of Helfert’s texts (both musical-critical and historiographical) on Janáček. The goal of the second study is to describe the transformations in the reception of Leoš Janáček’s Sinfonietta during the composer’s lifetime (premiered in 1926 in Prague, additional performances in 1927 and 1928 in Brno) and to analyze the factors (discursive and non-discursive, spiritual and material) that shaped its reception. The third study focuses on the period reception of Janáček’s two suite-like compositions for string orchestra, Suite (1877) and Idylle (1878), which represent the peaks of the early period of his compositional work. The fourth study presents results of a deconstruction of Nejedlý’s conception of the Great Czech Composer.
