DNA polymorphisms of CD36 receptor gene and influence of fatty acids perception

Abstract:

Obezita je multifaktoriální onemocnění, které patří mezi civilizační choroby. Obezita může hrát roli v patogenezi jiných, závažných onemocnění jako je infarkt myokardu, diabetes mellitus II. typu nebo také rakovina. Mastné kyseliny, které jak se ukázalo, lze detekovat na jazyku pomoci specifických receptorů, CD36 a GPCRs. Mastné kyseliny, co by složky potravy, jsou v přemíře konzumovány a vzniká tak pozitivní energetická bilance. S potravou přijímané mastné kyseliny ovlivňují patogenezi obezity, nic méně je toto onemocnění podmíněné geneticky. Role receptoru CD36, je důležitá pro detekci těchto komponent stravy. Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo stanovit vztah mezi genotypem, percepcí mastných kyselin a naměřenými antropometrickými parametry na skupině 52 studentů. Jak se ukázalo po statistickém vyhodnocení, nebyl nalezen vztah mezi percepcí mastných kyselin a polymorfizmem rs3212018 (p=0,740). Pro další vyhodnocení je potřeba do této studie zahrnout větší počet obézních jedinců.

Abstract:

Obesity is a multifactorial disease which belongs to the civilization diseases. Obesity may play role in the pathogenesis of other serious diseases such as heart attack, diabetes mellitus type II and also cancer. Fatty acids, how was shown, can be detected on the surface of the tongue by specific receptors CD36 and GPCRs. Fatty acids as components ofthe food are consumed in excess and it lead to a positive energetic balance. Fatty acids influence the pathogenesis of the obesity, but this disease is also affected genetically. Role of CD36 receptor is important to detect these diet components. The aim of this work was to determine the relationship between genotype, fatty acids perception and anthropometric parameters measured on the group of 52 students. After statistical evaluation of results, no statistically significant difference between the perception of fatty acids and polymorphism rs3212018 (p=0.740) was found. For further evaluation a larger number of obese individuals is needed.
