Design and implementation of user interface interacting with sensor Kinect

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis contains information about research in Human-Computer Interaction and Natural User Interface in use of motion sensing and gesture recognition. This work emphasizes a methodology connected to design of the user interface and its evaluation. Gathered information about this area was applied in the design of the user interface of the application that can be drawn with through gestures. The final application uses technology of the motion sensing device Microsoft Kinect and provide a user with virtual canvas that can be drawn on and also contains other features connected to drawing. This application was used in user testing and evaluation of the design of this user interface.

Abstract:

Práca sa zaoberá skúmaním oblasti interakcie človeka s počítačom a využitím prirodzeného užívateľského rozhrania v spojení s technológiou snímania pohybu a gest. Kladie dôraz na metodológie spojené s vytváraním návrhu a jeho vyhodnotením. Získané poznatky boli použité pri vypracovaní návrhu užívateľského rozhrania aplikácie, ktorá umožňuje kresliť pomocou gest. Výsledná aplikácia prostredníctvom snímacieho zariadenia Kinect sníma pohyby užívateľov a poskytuje im virtuálne plátno, na ktoré môžu kresliť a používať ďalšie funkcie s tým spojené. Táto aplikácia bola použitá pri testovaní a následnom vyhodnotení návrhu.
